Data Conversion

New system. Old data. We can supply a happy medium..

You track volumes of critical information — about your customers, vendors, products, employees and more. So data conversions from these legacy databases are a crucial part of every new Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software implementation.

Our first step is to identify all of the existing data sources. While nearly all of this information can be converted and stored in a new business solution, it’s not always cost effective to do so.

Next, we determine the best repository for this information. Do we leave an existing accounting system up and running to view history? Do we migrate all open and historical transactions to Microsoft Dynamics GP? Do we use tools like Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS) and SQL Reporting Services (SRS)? We present the cost benefit for each option, and help you to decide on the best strategy.

Finally, you know your data better than anyone. We understand its destination. So we collaborate on a migration plan, test it, then migrate the live data and verify our results every step of the way. The result is a 100% successful — and auditable — migration.
